We arrived at Valle Del Oro RV Resort in Mesa, AZ on October 3, 2011 and are leaving on April 2, 2012. This place is amazing and if you're bored, look in the mirror because it's your own fault. There is so much to do here you have to work at fitting it all in. We love it here so much that were coming back next year and will be snowbirds for the 2nd time. Not sure if were coming in September or November, but most likely November. If you get a chance check out their web page. It will make you want to come here. The weather from mid-October to April 2nd is wonderful.
I'm writing this on 3/28/12. Believe it or not blogging is a lot of work. We have not blogged once since we've arrived, but if you're checking, you know that already. Fortunately, we're very busy having the time of our life. We recommend it to everyone retiring.
I will be posting pictures during this time period with a brief description of what it is about. On April 2, 2012 were heading towards Nevada and will stay at a few spots along the way. Will be in Fort Mojave, close to Bullhead City, AZ for a few weeks as Louise is going to Palm Desert on a Sisters of the Vine trip April 20th to the 27th. True purpose is to celebrate Geri's birthday. Girls just wanna have fun and that's what we will do. Hubby is riding the motorcycle for that time period.
We will be driving either the motorcycle or truck into California around April 15th and leave probably on the 18th for blood work, pre-op and doctor's appointments, then back to Fort Mojave until April 28th when we head for Sparks. We plan on being in Sparks Nevada on April 29th and then will leave the 5th will in Sparks and either stay at our son Joey's or daughter Denice's for Joe's/Skip's knee surgery. Joe/Skip is getting a Mako partial knee replacement on his other knee on April 30, 2012. Just having the first one done was the best thing he ever did and he can't wait to get the other one done. By the way, he was riding his motorcycle two weeks after the first Mako knee replacement. Dancing is so much better after the first one, so the 2nd one will even be better.
Will stay in Sparks at least through May 12 so we can drive in for our grandson Isaac's birthday (he'll be 2) and for our granddaughters Alyssa's performance. Louise may have carpal tunnel surgery or at least a shot to help with numbness (won't know until doctor's appt) and also getting a consultation on spurs and degenerating disc in lower back causing numbness and pain.
Hopefully, all will go well and will be on our adventure again. We hope to see quite a few more States and do a repeat of some of the states. We're planning on going to Florence, Oregon and up into Sturgis South Dakota for the Harley Rally and then to Sammamish, Washington to see some friends and after that up into Canada. We also plan to see some friends we met here in Illinois and see Louise's sister and Aunt again in Missouri, but will do our best to blog along the way. See you along our travels and thanks for looking in on the Blog now and then.
